Summary

What would it take to make you intervene?

When Ella Longfield overhears two attractive young men flirting with teenage girls on a train, she thinks nothing of it—until she realises they are fresh out of prison and her maternal instinct is put on high alert。 But just as she’s decided to call for help, something stops her。 The next day, she wakes up to the news that one of the girls—beautiful, green-eyed Anna Ballard—has disappeared。

A year later, Anna is still missing。 Ella is wracked with guilt over what she failed to do, and she’s not the only one who can’t forget。 Someone is sending her threatening letters—letters that make her fear for her life。

Then an anniversary appeal reveals that Anna’s friends and family might have something to hide。 Anna’s best friend, Sarah, hasn’t been telling the whole truth about what really happened that night—and her parents have been keeping secrets of their own。

Someone knows where Anna is—and they’re not telling。 But they are watching Ella。

Great book that kept me wanting to read what happened next。 I liked the different character perspectives。

Donna Mellen

I didn’t feel the need to return to this book。 I finished it but it was just okay。

me encantó。 la trama engancha hasta el último momento y consigue muy bien la sensación de tensión。 además el trasfondo de los personajes está bien tratado y temas como la culpa se tratan de manera lo suficientemente profunda。

A little slow to start, but picks up quick! Lots of twists and turns。 A great who done it!

A good mysteryTold from a variety of perspectives, the reader slowly uncovers the truth behind a young girls murder as each character reveals tantalizing insights about his or her involvement in the tragedy。

I definitely liked this book, but the resolution of the mystery fell flat for me。 I felt like there was so much build up and I was enjoying it so much, but then it was like 'oh this is who it is and we figured it out but now it's over'。 I did like the epilogue a lot, but I just felt like there should have been more。 I definitely liked this book, but the resolution of the mystery fell flat for me。 I felt like there was so much build up and I was enjoying it so much, but then it was like 'oh this is who it is and we figured it out but now it's over'。 I did like the epilogue a lot, but I just felt like there should have been more。 。。。more

"I Am Watching You" is a thriller set in the present and the past about a woman named Ella who is remorseful about not stepping in when she notices two teenage girls on a train being led on by ex convicts。 I enjoyed this thriller to a certain extent。 I loved how the writing of the book kept me on my feet wanting to turn each page to find out how everyone's stories connected。 I found myself finishing this book quicker than I do other books。 The switching perspectives of each character is probably "I Am Watching You" is a thriller set in the present and the past about a woman named Ella who is remorseful about not stepping in when she notices two teenage girls on a train being led on by ex convicts。 I enjoyed this thriller to a certain extent。 I loved how the writing of the book kept me on my feet wanting to turn each page to find out how everyone's stories connected。 I found myself finishing this book quicker than I do other books。 The switching perspectives of each character is probably my favorite aspect of the book。 However, the plot of the book is all over the place。 There are constant changes in point of view that ruin the mood that's set。 The reason I am not giving this book a 5/5 stars is because of the ending。 If you have not read the book yet, I can tell you right now that you will not guess who Anna's kidnapper was。 All of the suspense and key suspects before the novel ends are not needed for the ending at all。 The Sarah, Luke, and Lily situations were to deepen the plot and to fill in the novel's slow sections。 Even though there is not a lot of information about the ending incident, it ended in a way that will keep me guessing forever。 In conclusion, I would recommend this book to someone who likes a mid-paced thriller/mystery。 I believe this could be a great book for a bookclub that is just starting out。 Rating: 4/5 stars :) 。。。more

Decent story。 Finished to the end, but it was a little disappointing。 I thought for a thriller it would be more thrilling。

Nicely written, not a great thriller though。 There’s no characters development, didn’t like that the events took place after one year from the primary incident。 Liked the plot twist though, didn’t see it coming!

Read it in 1 day。 Very well written and intriguing。 It is a good book to start a reading habit!

Interesting, easy thriller/mystery for the beach。 It goes rather quickly and does have an ending that I didn't see coming which is always nice。 I do, however, dislike the habit of every time something is about to happen in a chapter, it cuts away to a different point of a view。 Feels a more jarring and annoying than suspenseful。 The ending was also pretty abrupt。 Interesting, easy thriller/mystery for the beach。 It goes rather quickly and does have an ending that I didn't see coming which is always nice。 I do, however, dislike the habit of every time something is about to happen in a chapter, it cuts away to a different point of a view。 Feels a more jarring and annoying than suspenseful。 The ending was also pretty abrupt。 。。。more

First book ive read by this author and it was very intriguing。 I liked how every chapter was narrated by a different character。 There was a part in the middle I found pointless but the killer reveal was a shocker。 Ive already ordered The Promise by this author。

I liked the majority of the book。 The story had me invested in who was watching。 However, I feel that the ending was a little rushed and left too much to the imagination。

A woman thinks she saw something on a train。 I knew there had a to be a twist, but I didn't get it to the very end。 This was a nice quick, intriguing read。 There were enough cliff hangers at the end of chapters to keep turning page after page。 Very well done。 A woman thinks she saw something on a train。 I knew there had a to be a twist, but I didn't get it to the very end。 This was a nice quick, intriguing read。 There were enough cliff hangers at the end of chapters to keep turning page after page。 Very well done。 。。。more

*Spoilers* Bought this book because it went deeply on sale through Amazon and have to say, I am really glad I got turned on to this author。 This book was an amazing read and the ending did not disappoint。 Ella was a very frustrating character。 Her wishy washy attitude made me want to throw my kindle a few times, but maybe she did build suspense, but just really detested her。 The other characters were good。 A lot left unsaid in book regarding all this being due to an affair, but maybe that is how *Spoilers* Bought this book because it went deeply on sale through Amazon and have to say, I am really glad I got turned on to this author。 This book was an amazing read and the ending did not disappoint。 Ella was a very frustrating character。 Her wishy washy attitude made me want to throw my kindle a few times, but maybe she did build suspense, but just really detested her。 The other characters were good。 A lot left unsaid in book regarding all this being due to an affair, but maybe that is how real crime goes, people always dust the actual important sad motives under the rug。 。。。more

Well that’s how I felt about this book and I was bamboozled。 Anna and her best friend Sarah are two teenage girls spending the weekend in London。 After meeting two young men on the train who had just been released from jail, Anna disappears without a trace。 A year later there’s a witness from the train trying to live with her guilt, a private detective trying to crack the case, and Anna’s best friend and family who all seem like they have something to hide。The book rotates between the perspective of the witness, detective, father, and friend which is typically a writing style I enjoy。 Each of these characters offer major twists and bombshells that made me think this book could go in so many different directions。 I’m talking teen pregnancy, affairs, sexual abuse, and even a cult。 A damn cult! Even with all this drama, I felt myself struggling to stay interested and I felt no attachment to any of the characters。 Honestly, my biggest motivation to keep going was that there was so much mess unfolding I figured the ending HAD to be good right? Nope, wrong。As someone who gravitates toward mostly thrillers, my favorite reads are those that have an ending I don’t see coming- or at least if I do have my guesses there’s other curve balls that come throughout the book。 This ending was so far out from left field that it didn’t even make sense。 Much of the book is spent uncovering the main character’s secrets and traumas in a way where you’re set up to assume it has some relevance to the ending only to find out the bulk of what unfolds in the book is completely irrelevant to Anna’s disappearance。 Womp womp, better luck next time I guess 。。。more

I know I read this book, but I don't remember much about it now that I am going back to update my goodreads list which leads me to believe that it was not something I loved。 I know I read this book, but I don't remember much about it now that I am going back to update my goodreads list which leads me to believe that it was not something I loved。 。。。more

Nearly perfect I love this book! I couldn’t really get into the plot all that much。 While I enjoyed the audio version, it just wasn’t the book for me。

ThrillingThis book constantly keeps the reader wondering。 Just when you think you have it, the whole plot flips。 I would highly recommend this read。

I do not really know where to start to be honest。 I am just past page 26 and I don't know if I should continue the book。 It is very confusing for me, I have read allot of books, but this one takes the cake。 It doesn't really have any character development, storyline, and you find yourself just wondering, wtf is going on? Where did she come from? What is this? I would not recommend this book to anyone as it has a very poor storyline and does not make allot of sense。 I do not really know where to start to be honest。 I am just past page 26 and I don't know if I should continue the book。 It is very confusing for me, I have read allot of books, but this one takes the cake。 It doesn't really have any character development, storyline, and you find yourself just wondering, wtf is going on?
